On Friday night July 17th, 2006 we arrive in Darwin
and after a week in the marina we anchor out in Fannie Bay. We meet old
and make new friends as during our visit of the Northern Territory
Seafood festival with interesting info about modern techniques
in the commercial fisheries. You can also buy fresh fish and taste
fish and oysters with a beer or a wine.
Sitting under the parasols of the Darwin
Sailing Club the sunsets show their colorful panoramas. Also the
Thursday night Mindil Market attracts a lot of visitors who first all
sit on the beach to see another beautiful sunset before joining the
hustle and bustle around the stalls with local products, souvenirs and food.
In the NT Wildlife park you learn to know what
animals live in Australia: kangaroos, dingo's, crocodiles, turtles as
well as birds, birds of prey, snakes and more. A beautiful park where
you can see the animals in their natural environment.
