From October 20th 2005 we
are back on board near the Puerto Galera Yacht Club.
One of the first jobs is to place a solid roof
(wood/glasfiber) above the cockpit of the 'Alexandra'. No leaking canvas
any more, the solar panels on top of the roof and a catchment area for
the rainwater. Next activity is to put the mainsail and the jib back on
their place.
On October 30 and 31st 25 yachts are competing in the
'All Souls' Regatta. There are representatives of the Yacht Clubs of
Subic, Manila, Puerto Princessa, Puerto Galera and even Hongkong. On the
day the crews are on the water and in the evenings there is a pleasant
hustle en bustle in de Yacht Club and on the Sandbar which is the
meeting place for the Jazz Festival.
